| There was a fire call during the night and at least 5
firemen came in and 2 trucks went out. One good thing is they didn't
set off the siren. We slept pretty well in spite of all the doors
slamming and trucks leaving.
With the heat and humidity we've been having lately we decided to stop early and get a motel room for tonight. We ended in Falls of Rough at the Pine Tree Inn. The motel had a nice pool. The first thing we did, after checking in, was put on our bathing suits and jump in. We thoroughly enjoyed the hour we spent soaking. There were several other families swimming there also and they asked about our bike trip. I guess they could tell by our tan lines that we weren't your regular tourists. We enjoyed sharing some of our experiences from this summer. After eating supper at Immi's Restaurant, next door to the motel, we came back to the room and vegged out. We saw the tail end of the finish of the Tour de France. Lance Armstrong won for the fourth consecutive year. What an awesome cyclist! We also watched the Braves and Phillies play. It was a very relaxing day - just what our tired bodies needed. Staying in motels is getting addictive. |
