View of the Coastal Range as we were biking toward Coburg. Staying the night at the World RV Park near town. Ron and Carol are trying to find our destination for tomorrow.  We compiled information prior to the trip using the internet, touring books, and Adventure Cycling maps to help with these decisions.

The 6 miles from Rickreal to Monmouth was a nice paved bike trail that gave us the chance to get away from the traffic for a while.  In Monmouth we stopped at J's restaurant for eggs and pancakes.  Mm-m-m good!

After breakfast we headed for Corvallis hoping to use the library to email friends and family.  Our mothers especially wanted to know we were ok so it was important to make this stop.  The stop turned out to be longer than planned when Phil and Merj showed up and we spent time sharing cycling experiences.

Just outside Corvallis we stopped at a corner store to get a drink.  When leaving the parking lot Gary's bike fell over and the seat broke.  Ron and Gary had to ride back into Corvallis to buy a new seat.

The rest of the ride went well with a flat road and tailwinds the whole way to Coburg.  We camped for the night at Camping World RV Park.
